Swing N Slide went into business in 1980 when the idea of a do it yourself swing set was unheard of. Taking advantage of this market, they began selling swing set kits at a value cost that offered a flexibility that pre-cut or boxed swing sets did not. Not only does Swing N Slide offer a wide selection of do it yourself swing sets at a great value, they meet or exceed strict American Society of Testing Materials Safety Standards.
Swing N Slide has a culture of innovation, introducing the EZ frame bracket system, designing the first plastic slide, the first climbing rock wall, and much much more!Their ingenious idea to market three levels of swing sets geared primarily towards do it yourself customers spawned the 'Ready To Build Custom,' 'Ready to Assemble No-Cut,' and 'Ready To Build Wood Complete' kits. Most of the kits available are in the 'Ready to Build Custom Group'.
Each level is sold with a level of building skill that the customer will need to assemble. For the complete do it yourself customer they offer the "Ready To Build Custom' which comes with a kit that includes assembly instructions and hardware. For the beginner do it yourself parent they offer the Ready To Assemble No-Cut' which comes with all hardware, assembly instructions and pre-cut lumber, and finally for the laid-back customer they offer the 'Ready To Assemble Wood Complete,' which is a swing set fully loaded with accessories, pre-cut lumber, and hardware. Whatever the customer needs Swing N Slide has the product!

We have built a deck floor in between three trees. This made a perfect location for a tree house as well as for accessing the spiral slide. A friend of mine helped me fix it against the frame we built ourselves. If you have not purchased an already built tower and you are making a tree house from scratch like we did, you will need to be a little creative on how to fix it and stabilize it. The kids could not wait for us to get it done. We just finished it and bought additional accessories for everyone's pleasure. Parents and kids! We are so happy we could find a 7ft tall slide.

We put this in our back yard off my sons elevated playhouse.
The kids of all ages (4-10) really love it.
It was a little tricky to put together and the seams are a little rough to slide over.
It needs a good soft landing area for the kids to shoot out on.

I like the product and the fact that I could buy the slide alone. Because of not buying the wood for the stand (predrilled?) I would have appreciated slightly more detail regarding installation height in the assembly/mounting instructions. When installing at the 7' height (implied in the product description) the underside flange of the slide attached to the stand has a small bow in it, indicating that it should be installed slightly lower than 7'. In researching other websites with similar slides in appears that 80" is a good target for installation height.

It was a little difficult to put together and mount. Holes don't always line up but if you keep rolling it you can finally get them all.
It is good for high structures and does not extend out a lot which is also nice.
Kids love it

Product is very strong and all parts were present. Instructions weren't the clearest. I spent three extra hours taking it back apart and reassembling the tube because three adults couldn't tell from the pictures which way the turns went together. The children love it now that it's up.

We are happy with this slide. I only gave it four starts because it is fairly difficult to assemble and all parts do not fit perfectly. Also, once assembled and installed it is slightly more flimsy than I had hoped. However, it is sturdy enough that I am happy with the purchase and would do it again. Our kids (and all of their friends) love this slide. Kids from 2 years up to 12 years have really enjoyed it. It is a fast slide, but safe. We have had it for several months now with no injuries and no problems.

Comments about Swing-n-Slide Turbo Tube Slide - Forest Green:
Definitely not a one person job. Putting it together is a seemingly simple process, but the bolt holes didn't line up quite right every time. We had one person line them up with a screwdriver, while the other person quickly put the bolt in. The directions were lacking on how to mount it to the play area as well, so I would suggest either being or knowing an experienced handyman/handywoman.
Once you get past the directions, it's a great product, the kids love it, and you can't beat the price.

Comments about Swing-n-Slide Turbo Tube Slide - Forest Green:
It is a good slide and I'm happy with it. However, I have some gripes about the instructions. First, they are dated 1993 - no joke. Second, they must assume you're putting it on a kit of theirs, because they don't tell you what size frame/opening to build if you're putting it on your own creation (other than the height). Making a guess based on the piece that mounts to the structure isn't as easy as you might think. Also, each piece is stamped with a letter but "piece C" doesn't necessarily belong in "section C". Another minor irritation with the instructions is that the photo next to the section you're reading is for three steps ago - the photo you want now is halfway down the next page. In my opinion, they need to scrap these instructions and develop a better set.
As others have stated, you will need a second or third person, but only when you go to attach the slide to the play structure. I was able to do all the assembly prior to that on my own.
